Our workshop 

Il s'agit d'un « artisanat de pincement » (つまみ細工） avec un tissu carré de 1,5 cm. Pliez un petit morceau de tissu comme un origami pour faire un ornement. Les seuls outils sont des pinces et de la colle. Contrairement à l'apparence magnifique, c'est un artisanat facile à démarrer pour les débutants.

Kirigami (切り紙)  is the art of Japanese paper without using glue. Kirigami is similar to origami in that it is a form of paper art. The major difference is that in origami, you fold paper whereas, in kirigami, you fold and cut paper.

Semamori  (背守り) is a good luck symbol or amulet stitches. They used to be embroidered on the back of a baby's clothing. 

We make greeting cards with embroidery of traditional Japanese patterns stitched on paper at our workshop.

Chigiri-e (ちぎり絵) is a kind of painting using Japanese coloured paper. The Japanese paper which is called Washi is a unique texture that may resemble a watercolour painting effect. It is easy to make without tools but could be artistic too. Both kids and adults can enjoy the work.
